About Mr. Mariano

Hello Parents and Students of Class 55I and 5-6.  I hope that you are as excited as I am this school year.  I co-teach class 55I with Mr. Karpiloff, and I teach Math to class 5-6.  This year the grade 5 students will learn place value, decimals, fractions from addition, subtraction, multiplication and lastly, division.

 

Before my teaching career, I was a Vice-President for Financial Control and Risk Management for a major banking corporation.  Math has been my first love since my elementary days. I wish to impart the same skill, and infect the students with the same Math bug that has bitten me to my very core.  Do not be surprised if you find yourself calculating big numbers in your head before the end of the school year.
