March is Women’s History Month, which celebrates the inner power, strength, and confidence of the women that impact our daily lives. They are your mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts, and teachers, that show bravery, fearlessness, determination, wisdom, and love as they run homes, schools, businesses and even leading our nation. These are just a few of the amazing women we celebrate this month.
On SPIRIT Wednesday March 17th & SPIRIT Friday March 19th, 2021, we are honoring the spirit of GIRL POWER and the amazing women that inspire our PS 246 community. Join us by coming dressed in your best Wonder Woman inspired wardrobe.
This could include a tee shirt with the Wonder Woman logo, an original costume, or wearing the colors Red, White, Blue, and Yellow representing the theme and adding your own spin to truly shine. (see images above)
Our young men, we did not forget you! Get your Superhero vibe on and join in with capes to lift the spirits for the young ladies in our school community’.

Marzo es el Mes de la Historia de la Mujer, que celebra el poder interior, la fuerza y la confianza de las mujeres que impactan nuestra vida diaria. Son sus madres, abuelas, hermanas, tías y maestras, que muestran valentía, intrepidez, determinación, sabiduría y amor mientras dirigen hogares, escuelas, negocios e incluso lideran nuestra nación. Estas son solo algunas de las mujeres increíbles que celebramos este mes.
El miércoles 17 de marzo y el viernes 19 de marzo de 2021, estamos honrando el Espíritu Escolar de “PODER FEMENOINO” y las mujeres increíbles que inspiran a nuestra comunidad de PS 246. Únase a nosotros y venga vestido con su mejor guardarropa inspirado en “La Mujer Maravilla”.
Esto podría incluir una camiseta con el logotipo de La Mujer Maravilla, un disfraz original o usar los colores rojo, blanco, azul y amarillo que representen el tema y agreguen su propio toque para brillar de verdad. (ver imágenes arriba)

PS 246 Never Been Absent Celebration

It’s a celebration! You have been here with us day in and day out during the month of February and have earned the status of NBA RAVEN ALLSTAR, and now we want to celebrate you with a special presentation. This event will be held in conjunction with Accent Dance Company.
is comprised of a multicultural and multilingual team of top-tier professional dancers and teaching artists. The artists have backgrounds with such prestigious professional dance companies such as Alvin Ailey, the Cuban National Ballet, New Jersey Ballet, and Dance Theatre of Harlem. Each member of the Accent Dance team also is an experienced teaching artist.
You will view a film framed as a trip in our great city that highlights various styles of dance, including tango, ballet, contemporary, martial arts-based, salsa, and hip hop. Each style of dance shows how many cultures converge in NYC to create our dynamic and diverse city.
There will be a Q& A following the film with the artist. Check out their website where some of our own PS 246 students have been featured in various highlight performances on their website. (www.accent.dance.com)
